Strive for Five and Come Alive!

 

To be a “way of life”, Christianity has to have as much effect on everything we do as marriage does.  Married people are always conscious, on some level, of their identity as husband or wife, mother or father. That awareness is the starting point from which they approach all of their decisions. If it isn’t in the forefront of their minds, it is always in the background.

 

So if you are conscious that being a “Christian” means to enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ, that will color your perception of everything you d and cast new light on everything. Your “religion” won’t be part of your life. Your religion will be your life-- and everything else just a way of living it out. Saint Paul said, “It is no longer I who live, but it is Christ who lives in me… For to me, living is Christ!”

 

This doesn’t just happen. To make it happen, you need a plan. “To fail to plan is to plan to fail.”

 

Immersed in Christ offers you a plan with five objectives: to live out five “mysteries of Baptism” that probably no one ever taught you.

 

You need to live all five. And everything else you need to do is included in them. Strive for five and come alive!

 

This is a plan that matches Saint Paul’s prayer:

 

I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:16-18).
